WHEN TO GO
Although Wildlife viewing is good year-round, this can differ for some parks. The best time to visit Kenya is during the Dry season (No Rains), from June to October, and these are the best wildlife viewing months. The dry season coincides with the Great Migration of wildebeest and zebra. The wildebeests usually reach the Masai Mara in August and remain until October when they move back to the Serengeti in Tanzania. The rainy seasons are also good times to travel, as there are fewer tourists and you can admire the striking emerald vegetation and the prices will be at the lowest. The long rains are in April and May and are very wet. December, January and February are also great times to travel to Kenya since the rains are short, and you have the chance to see newborn animals and migratory bird species.
