Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort
Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort is only an hour’s drive from Nairobi. It is located on 150 acres of grassland on the southern shore of Lake Naivasha. Lake Naivasha is a freshwater lake in Kenya’s Great Rift Valley.
OVERVIEW:
The Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort was constructed to wind its way through the trees so that none of the trees fell to make way for buildings. The primary public building is unusually shaped, making graceful curves around the vegetation. Acacia trees and bushes decorate the hotel grounds, adding to the African ambiance.

THE LODGE/CAMP:
Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge buildings have colourful stones covered in climbing vines and flowers. The unusual-looking roofs form sweeping violet arcs over the structures. Each cottage in Sopa Lodge Naivasha has two rooms per floor. Bottom-floor rooms have two queen-sized beds and a lavishly furnished living room that opens onto the gardens. Top-floor rooms have a single king-sized bed and a furnished balcony with wrought iron railings.
ROOMS:
Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge has 82 rooms. Includes 6 inter-connecting rooms on the ground floor & 2 wheelchair accessible rooms. Each room has a fully-equipped private bathroom.
QUICK INSIGHTS:
All the buildings on the property were built, so few trees fell. As a result, a radically innovative and artistic design for the main public area was built. It is also why all the buildings are so widely set apart.
